Exporting my car to Australia
I hope to export my Jaguar XF, (and a couple of motorbikes), to Australia by the end of 2014. I am just concerned at the problems I may encounter and the rules and regs that have to be followed!! If anyone has any comments or recommendations then I would be more than happy to receive them.

I did some research on it when we were thinking of emigrating last year. Upshot is that you can export 1 vehicle per person, and that you must have owned the car and been resident in the source country (i.e. the UK) for a continuous year (up to two-week breaks are permissible, but longer than that causes a period reset). There's a company that will help you to prepare the vehicles for shipment, and if you don't do that prep right, they won't get off the dock.
Jaguar has a network of dealers in Aus, but because their cars get caned by import tax, there are not many around.
