I've decided to kick back work wise for a couple of months to catch up with life a bit, and naturally cutting back on the outgoings is sensible. Therefore instead of the 21mog I normally get on the XJR driving hard everywhere I've gone to the opposite extreme and wafting along at a snail like 70mph on cruise and rarely accelerating hard (althoug I'm only human and that s/c is there for a reason so still have fun occasionally), average last tank 29.something MPG and 32 normally on a 130 mile motorway cruise. quite oustanding.

Having said that my exhaust tips are sooty and I get a bit of a haze behind on full bore throttle (10k miles since last oil change and level only dropped less than halfway down the dipstick marks so it's not oil), so is it normal for them to run rich? even driven hard I never have clean pipes.

Anyhow, mongoose software/cable costs around 100 quid and was looking to buy one to read codes and set rideheight after I've replaced the open circuit rear ride height sensors. Is it any good and does it work ok on a 2007?

Thanks guys

Stedman

SP, Could you send me the details of the bloke who did your Valley hose please?

I did post the same message on the jag forum, but you did a good job of ignoring me.

Or not seeing it biggrin
