so that seems to confirm that used ones should not really be overpriced.

I guess used are now coming down to what should have been the real price with a normal expected depreciation then

Obviously not good for who paid the initial full price then

So can someone explain what's the point in having a stupidly high list price and then discounting heavily? Coz the few suckers who pay list make up way more than those who know better?

Discounting on cars is not a new phenomenon nor singular to F TYPES

Go speak to a BMW dealer about a brand new M6 Grand Coupe at £100k list and see how much discount you get before even opening your mouth!

I'm a jaguar owner and fancy buying another one, an F type coupe ticks the boxes ( V8 ) and have been following this topic, I don't fancy paying depreciation as I could put that money to better use and the only thing I have discovered is that F types are holding the prices very well and that some of the jag owners on this forum are stuck up pricks!

Many congrats OP - it's beautiful.

Would you mind giving us the spec and price paid? Of course I fully understand if you'd rather not say how much you paid! I only ask because I keep toying with the idea of getting a used R Coupe but I agree with your opening post - they still seem a little pricey and slow moving on the used market.

Anyhow, give us more pics!

Thank you Yellowtang. Its a 2014 V6S Coupe, pan roof,20"wheels,performance seats, powered tailgate, one owner with 5300 miles on it.I paid 14.5k less than the list price of a new car of this spec.Try the V6S before you drive the V8,i think you may be surprised at how well it goes!

Esso, that looks lovely. I've been looking at F-Types for a while & have finally decided on a 2013 V8S 'vert & have sold my 6 series to fund one. If anyone has a V8S 'vert for sale, please PM me. Money is in the bank waiting for the right car. Thanks

Thanks, if I had sold the Cerb, which is a V8 by the way I would have bought the V8 F-Type but couldn`t bring myself to sell it so settled for the V6S.....lets just say the performance is more than adequate!

How long before I can pick up an F-Type V6S Coupe for £30k? 2017?

Only depreciation will enable me to realise this particular dream.

They do look nice, just keep relating them to the price of a used R8 and I know which I would prefer. That having been said the white Coupes are stunning.

I thought about an R8,its a nice car but for me the F-type is the best looking car of its kind currently....performance ain`t bad either!

I''ve noticed a good few 2013 (63) F-Type coupes advertised for sale over recent days. I seem to recall that the coupes weren't even in the dealer showrooms until March/April 2014? One is even advertised as having the new infotainment system.

I see A/T has a one owner V8S, 2013, with 28000 miles, up for £46990. He had it previously for a few weeks at £47990 but he clearly had no takers at that price, hence the reduction. My guess is he paid £44000 for it, as he has to allow for prep, warranty & profit in the price. I'd have had it but the mileage is too high for me. Winter approaching seems to be making dealers nervous

Anyone thinking of selling their 2013 V8S convertible please PM me as I'm looking to buy. I'll pay more than a dealer
