X type Estate Waist window seal rubber strips

Does anyone have any recommendations of where I can get new window seals for my estate? These are the rubberised window strips that fit horizontally onto the window sills on all doors plus the rear quarter lights on each side of the estate. These just pull off/ push on and are relatively cheap in design. Unfortunately the metal clips that are within these strips rust badly and the rubber 'bubbles up'. It looks awful. The price, from Jaguar dealers is from £33 for a front window strip to £79 for a rear quarter-light strip. Unbelievable!! However, trying to track down suitable replacements is proving very difficult. Does any member have any suggestions or help that they can give please? Thanks Barrie

Not much response from anyone with this issue. In the end I contacted Hatfield Jag dealers in Hull. Cost me £182 for four pieces of window seals. These are the black outer edge extrusions that fit on the window sill. They are rubber with metal clips enclosed that allow for them to grip the top edge of the door ledge. The 'official' price was £240 for these four!!! The manufacturing cost would have been no more than a few pounds each!! Talk about jaguar profiteering on such things!

I have the same problem on my 2006 rear doors bubble were the rubber is thin and exposes metal passing the quarter light pillar splitting the glass. I haven't seen an X that hasn't got this problem, Jaguar never resolved it during the production years 2001-2009. I've seen 2009 cars with the problem. Checked ebay and the replacement price is not far off what Hatfields charged you. I even have checked out Jaguar scrap specialists, but they never get a car in that hasn't already started to bubble.
