So the story so far....

2008 xf 2.7 diesel

Got home all ok no faults, parked up locked all ok. Whent back a few hours later tried starting her would not start ignition came on and got the following faults.

Park brake fault
Oil pressure low
Dsc not available
Gearbox fault

Then the shift knob raised.

Did some research and replaced the battery no joy. Did a hard reset several times.

I then borrowed my mates snap on diagnostic gear and the following happened

I could not communicate with the ecm , however I could communicate with everything else it seems that they were in error because they could not communicate with the ecm either. I got the following code.

u0100 power train control module a.

Any ideas ?

Thanks.

Still on original screen. I have checked the ecm which is located in front off the pollen filter in the bay all looks dry.

Unsure then. Maybe head over to www.jaginfo.org and ask there. A bit more specialist than here.

Sounds like the battery, Jags are quite sensitive to battery problems. Try charging it using the positive terminal and grounding point in the engine bay (don't charge the battery directly unless removing it from the car) or replacing the battery.

EDIT: This might help: https://www.jaginfo.org/showthread.php?23209-Fault...

Worth joining as well.
