1999 XJ8 3.2 V8 running rough

hi petrolheads,

My 99 XJ V8 is having engine troubles. 140k miles on the clock.
the problem became more and more frequent and at this point it is not driveble anymore.

at startup the RPM's dance between 500 and 1200, the engine note is not stabile and at some point it cuts off.
If i put my hand behind the exhausts it spits black droplets, allot! ( i pressume its petrol)

Sparkplugs: all 8 of them pitch black.
oil and coolant nice and clear, engine never ran hot.
