It's interesting how no one seems to mention limited resources for LR but as soon as you say anything about Jaguar it's a common held view. The cars seem to be be great and with a little more effort on product range then they could be a lot more attractive.

Then there is just the silly, I was reading in the Saturday Telegraph that you can get the new XF in AWD in LHD but not RHD. Most manufacturer's seem to sort out the home market but not Jaguar. I'm off to look into a new shape A4 Avant Quattro...

I picked up my XF Sportbrake last Saturday.

Dealers didn't know if or when the new XE/F sportbrakes would be coming

There're are some very good deals to be had on the run out XF though
Pics or it didn't happen smile Thanks for the heads-up on the deals though, I might see if the wife could be persuaded to consider changing the ML early.
Good plan smile

I wish!

To be pedantic, you're a class out comparing XF to A4 anyway. The A4 is XE sized.

They developed the AWD XF for those in northern US states who think AWD is necessary.

Those in the UK who crash whenever it drizzles are best crashing German cars anyway wink

You are not being pedantic, I'm looking for a mid/large sized estate (hence XE or XF) and find that AWD works well up here. I also have a powerful RWD coupe that rides fine through the winter on appropriate rubber but this is a family wagon so has a wider remit to fulfill.

The old XF was not designed to accommodate AWD so it has to be reversed engineered at expense which can only be recouped where there is a business case, ergo LHD.

The new XE/XF has not be on the market yet 3 months ! Give it time for the new derivatives to be released....you don't think they launch with everything they have on a 7yr product cycle do you?!

Indeed, I'm pretty sure we will see RHD AWD XE and XF models at some point in the near future. We get the F-Type in AWD and that will be for a much smaller market than either of the saloon / estate cars would. Actually, that's the specific car I want: XE / XF Sportbrake with AWD. biggrin

One thing's for certain: if / when SVR models arrive, they will be AWD for sure - JLR have previously stated that all SVR models will be equipped as such. thumbup

I think I'll hang on to my R-S then. Nothing worse than AWD performance cars. AWD is for SUVs and pickups.

Anyone know if either of these cars are coming and if so when? I've tried the dealer network but little information was forthcoming. Lots of talk about the F Pace but I want an estate not SUV. Thanks.
Seems like Jaguar are having fun with this F Pace thing anyway

Not sure why this is a "record" surely someone has done a loop in a car before, I can't believe this is a first.

They have... This is the record as it's the largest due to the 19m height.

Well they've announced AWD for the XE saloon. They just need to re-engineer the back end to make it perfect.
