Guys - really small issue. There is a piece of material / facia located just above the pedals (drivers side obviously) in the XK. My understanding is that this is held on by two cheapish clips - one of which (in my case) has fallen off - occasionally it can be felt touching the top of the shoe. Advice from the dealer is simply to remove the panel. Has anyone else had this (I am told it is pretty common) and what did they do?.
Cheers

I've got a similar issue on the passenger side after I removed the panel to get in about the glove box to fix it. There are some plastic clips which exist to hold these fabric bits in place, I think they pass through small holes in the fabric at the front edge. In my case, the holes have torn open so the clips won't hold it in place any more.

I intend to try and get a good look at mine later on so I'll have a look and report back.

Hi, sorry for the slow reply. I had a look at my passenger side last night and it does appear that the clips should pass through holes in the edge nearest the glove box, but as I thought mine have all torn open. I think I'm going to have to replace that bit of matting.

There was a sticker on the inside of mine, giving a description of "X150 HUSH PANEL RHD LHS" and a part number of "6W83 046B01 BF". I'm going to try and track down a replacement, if I find somewhere that can supply one I'll see if they can do a driver's side one for you and post back here.

OK I got a price for the replacement hush panel I need, for the passenger side, £93+VAT. I'm therefore going to try repairing mine first, or sourcing one off ebay if that doesn't work out, that seems like quite a lot for a bit of sound deadening trim to me.

If yours still seems to be intact then you should just be able to replace the clip. Try contacting someone at Just Jags UK as they'll be able to find the part for you.

Hope that helps, feel free to ask if you're still stuck.

That does help.

I had a further look at mine today and the way it seems to work is the 2 clips pull the facia 'rearward' which then tensions the sheet so it doesn't foul the footwell.

I seem to have one working and one not.

Let me know how you get on and thanks again for the info.

Cheers

Forgot to say - I will check over the weekend whether its the clip which has failed or the facia torn........

So my replacement trim arrived yesterday. It has three new clips already in it, ready to just clip into place. I'm not sure if that means that Jaguar won't sell the clips on their own. In any case, assuming the existing clips I have are fine and come out without damage then they'll be surplus to requirements so if you do just need a new clip or two then PM me your address and I'll send some on.
