Hi all,

looking for some advice on my jag roof.

It all started when the battery died ( now fixed ) but the first time I tried to us the roof windows lower and front of roof unlatch end and lifted a few inches as usual but then stopped.

I have sinse lowered the roof manually, checked fuses, fluid level, luggage separator position, I have swapped over relays and what happens now when I try and raise the roof electrically the cover lifts but the roof does not move at all. The pump can be hear trying to move something but Im Now I'm not sure what else to check and how.

Thanks

Rob

Did you check the fluid? Is it still green or any sign of brown ? The early fluid had a habit of congealing and could also cause the pipes to burst. Should be nice a fluid green.

Disconnecting the battery looses the window memories, causing this exact issue. Reset each window memory as follows;
1.ensure roof is in fully closed position.
2. Ignition on, doors closed.
3. Hold the window switch fully down, keep it pressed for five seconds after the window has fully opened.
4. Hold the window switch fully up, keeping it pressed as before.
5. Repeat for each window.

Now try the roof. It should work....
