XJ 3.2V8 O2 oxigensensors kaput

Gentlemen,

My 2 upstream oxigensensors are kaput of my XJ8 3.2 v8 from 99.
the local garage told me not to mess with universal sensors and get the original ones from Jaguar.
only problem is they are 300 euros a piece!!(somewhere in the 235 quid region)
I can source used ones wich have done 20K miles, but have to get them as a set of 4 for the price of 400 euros (313 pounds)

What is wisdom?

Thanks for the quick reply

first one sensor went, then the other, according to the mecanic, he has checked the loom, cables and conectors and it apeared to be in correct condition. ( this mecanic is a good friend, so i trust him)
I have a month warranty on the second hand sensors, but its rather allot of money.
