XE - S/R/SVR

Hi all,

In the next year or so I will be in the market for a fast saloon/coupe. The usual options are the C63, the M3/M4, and looking at the 'spy' pics being released it seems Audi will be offering up a new A5 soon (although the wait for a 'hot' version will be a little longer).

Had a little browse of the Jaguar XE - S; Jag website, youtube, read some reviews - the usual stuff. Now, a few reviews seem to have been mentioning a XE - S/SVR model as being all but confirmed by JLR to compete with the M3. Quoted as using the V8 from the F-type. These reviews are a around a year or so old now, but nothing seems to have come out since then?

Question is twofold: Does anyone have any more info about this R/SVR model? Secondly, does anyone here run the current XE - S that could give me some owner insight?

Yes - when will they stick the V8 in?

Waiting for that, then it's a toss up between Alfa Giulia, C63, LSF and the Jag.

I've driven an XE S and it felt great - but needs more power.

Sorry tried to persuade him to post on his car but wasn't interested.

I've driven it a few times and the one thing I must say I enjoy is the sound.

From outside it just sounds rude.
