The xe-s is one of the cars I'm considering to replace my BMW 335d. The BMW has a retractable towbar onto which I attach a bike rack for 2 bikes.

My question is can I get a similar towbar for the Jag? On the configuator I can see the bike rack but no towbar to fit it to.

Anybody know?

I've been playing with this and if you go far enough there's an electrically deployable towbar (£970) and a detachable one for £690.

Far enough where? I've been on the configurator but can't find any towbar for the S. confused

Hmm, to be fair I was looking at a normal one but thought it would apply to all. Maybe people with sporty cars aren't supposed to tow anything. Ring your local Jaguar dealer and ask.

Are you desperate for a rear rack?

I put the bike on the roof using a Seasucker rack. They do a two-bike version as well.

Yes the Seasucker comes highly recommended. As far as I can see the disadvantages are worrying about the extra height, security as you can't lock the bikes onto the car and getting them up onto the roof.

For those reasons I prefer a rear rack but that won't stop me considering the XE-S.
