XF Sportbrake S Diesel MPG?

Afternoon all,

What MPG are people getting from the hi output 3.0?

Some mags have it as low 30's which seems odd as I get better than that in my RangeRover with the same engine!

Many factors affect the consumption. Length of journey. The weather. Winter (winter diesel is lower cetane than summer diesel, so more is used). Whether your journey is mainly uphill or downhill when it is warming up (that takes 10 miles this time of year). Overall, I used to get an indicated 37 out of a saloon, with peaks around 50 in favourable conditions, and troughs in the hign 20s.

'Tis strange if you drive a diesel how you focus on it. I used to, but now I have the RS, I really don't care, even though I'm pushing 2000 miles a month.

Mid 30's to mid 40's depending on how you drive.
Mine has been mapped and does low 40's with an occasional heavy right foot. Not bad for a 1.8 tonne car putting out over 300bhp.
