I'm currently looking for a x308 xjr, it would only be used as a sunny Sunday car. Does anyone have one on a classic insurance policy or are they not yet old enough?

Thanks
Ben

I have my Daimler Super V8, same Supercharged engine as XJR, on a classic policy with Adrian Flux. Agreed Value, mileage 5000 per year. It's a 2000 model and many companies treat Jaguar/Daimler as Classic up to fairly late cars.
Most insurers need you to have access to a 'normal' car or bike to qualify for classic. I pay well under £200 with UK and European breakdown, but I'm old!

Mee too, Adrian Flux on my 98 XJR.
Theres a fair amount if photography and form filling but its worth it.

Agreed Valuation which has gone up by £500 per year for the last 3 years.

I'm 32 now and have another daily driver as well as other classics.

I put a xjr into go compare and it was touching a grand for a years insurance! I may well try giving Adrian flux or even Lancaster who I use for my mini pickup as they have always been good. Call me tight but I begrudge paying lots to insure something which will get little use

My 2008 XJR is insured with Classicline and I previously had a Porsche 996 turbo with them.

It's funny Adrian Flux wanted £700 from memory but Admiral insured me and 2 other drivers for £180 on 4k miles.

Do you have anything in place with Admiral with regards a valuation ?

Thats a great price, mine is £210 with Adrian Flux but I kniw exactly what I am getting if it hits the fan.

I used Classic Line previously but 3 years ago they couldnt compete with Flux

Footman James quoted me more for my 99 XKR with only 400 miles done last year than I pay for may Range Rover.
They were also £60 dear than comparison sites so still shop around. Lancaster Insurance have always been competitive.
