Saw a silver XJ220, first one I have seen since the car show, I was near Banchory, what a sight, unfortunately I was turning right when he drove past the junction.

The 220 is a magnificent car and when I was living in Lancashire had a good friend in our Jag club who had one - and still does. Back in 1999 he took me out for a ride around some of the roads around East Lancashire as a 50th Birthday present. It was obviously a memorable experience but being used to high powered motorcycles it was not the sheer acceleration or speed which impressed me most but the G forces when we were in the turns - it felt as though my internal organs were about to escape from my sides! My Sister lives in Aberdeenshire but I've not seen one around Banchory - I'll keep my eyes peeled.

I think he probably knows the owner. JB if I'm not mistaken. He also has a fine collection of other Jaguars.

Crap picture but was it this one? There can't be two of them in Banchory.

This was parked in the big garden centre, all by itself one morning.

There was another thread in the Scotland section here recently. I used to see this car reasonably regularly around the Seafield/Airyhall/Cults areas of Aberdeen. Hadn't seen it for some time but another PHer spotted it fairly recently so perhaps it's changed hands or the owner has started using it again.

There is a lot of nice metal in Aberdeen so you sort of stop noticing a lot of it after a while but this is one of a few cars that I can't help but stop and stare at when I see it.

Hi Bleasiejag,
Yes his name is John! We both know him well as JB. Nice to hear from you again, I sold my Cabriolet for strong money about 3 years ago to Southern Ireland - yes, just before they started to climb rapidly in value!
Now pedalling around in really tidy Daimler Super V8, which even won a pot at Drum Castle last year. I never go anywhere without my code reader and bus pass! Living in Orkney now, drop in when you are passing Bleasie, kettle's always warm.
