I have a reasonable sized double garage which fits a 5-sries no problem.
The XJ looks huge by comparison.
Anybody else had problems.
Time to find a tape measure!!!

That reminds me of when I worked at BCA in Brighouse. I used to get asked all sorts of questions about the cars, 'What sort of mpg does it get?' 'Is it noisy at 70mph?' 'Can you get Leicester Sound on the radio?' etc. But my favourite was the guy that asked me 'Will it fit in my garage?' I only used to drive the things through the auction hall...

Crappy story. Sorry.

I reckon if you can get the 5 Series (new shape or E39?) in with room to spare, you should squeeze the Jag in. What sort of XJ are you looking at?

I measured my garage, and it's exactly 5m. The Jag is 5.02m long. rolleyes Good luck in your search for the right car.

I think if you get a BMW 5 in you'll get an XJ in. Measuring tape is the only answer

I'm fairly sure the XJ is going to be bigger than the 5 series.
When I measured our 2001 E-Class against the X300 the Jag was about 6" wider.

Width is not a problem, the length is important, now where have I heard tha.....!!!!
The 5 was an 02 530D and the car I'm after is an XJR supercharged 96/97 year and I think I may be onto something.
