can anyone help? i have a water leak in the passenger side only of my new 1995 xjr, its not from the engine and the drivers side is bone dry. has anyone any ideas of a source? i've hosed the car down but can still find nothing obvious. cheers.

Dunno if it's the same idea as my 1990 Sov but there is an A/C drain into the engine compartment through the bulkhead. It's a black rubber nozzle pointing downwards on the passenger side next to the engine. This can get blocked with cr@p causing backing up of any trapped water. I has a small leak on the driver's side and clearing this solved the problem (it was blocked with filth)

Is your car parked on a steep slope? My drive is very steep and both my X 300 and current XJ 8 leaked into the passenger compartment after a downpour. The reason was that the drain holes in the bottom of the doors were not right at the ends, allowing the inside of the door to fill up just enough to leak inside.

Simple to fix with a 2mm drill.....and a bit of care
