Looking to buy an XK8

I am sure you get this post all the time, as we always do in the Lotus area, but thought I'd post anyway.
I am looking to purchase a new car, and I'm considering the XK8. I have about £8500 to spend, the car will be my daily driver (30 miles total per day) and sometimes drive down to Devon for the weekend (160 miles round trip).
My main thought is regards reliability. My budget is looking at cars in the 80k plus mileage bracket, so will be getting old. I previously had a Range Rover 4.6 HSE that was forever broken down, and do NOT want the same problems.
What is the reliability like?

If you do your homework and choose wisely then an XK8 is a reliable car that will happily be driven every day. Mileage is not an issue but maintenance is. Read up about Nikasil, check tensioners and water pump and invest £35 to join www.xkec.co.uk
