XJ-S vs XJS? (facelift vs original)
Discussion
Hi, new to the forum.
It's time for me to buy a new car (woot) new job, just finished paying for my Stag etc. The choice is an MGF (to replace my modern) or an XJS. I already have a V12 XJ-S but it's not in the best condition, it drives OK but it's starting to rust etc.
my question is is are the facelifted one much better? Or should I keep mine? now, i know all the technical differences between the cars and there isn't much left the same...gearbox/engine/body work/interior is all different. The only thing I don't love about the car is the gearbox (3spd auto). Is the 4spd better (or what about manual?) I'd have about, i dunno, £5k to spend? I think i'd like a 4litre.
really after general thoughts, especially from people who have had both. NOT looking to start a 6cyl vs 12 cyl debate. please(?).
