Hi Fellas, just bought an Xtype 2.5 v6 sport! only when im driving down the road can hear a droning noise from the rear n/s wheel, has anyone any idea how much this will cost to replace? or can they be re-greased or ajusted?
Cheers in advance,
Lee thumbup

It may well be the AWD system, mine drones away at 60mph, no other speed. It is one of those things. If you car is under warranty you can get Jag to change the diff etc, but it can sometimes not be cured or will just return. Just see it as an X-Type-ism.

I would make sure you have this checked correctly, never had a rear bearing fail, but X's always had issues with prop shaft whinning.... Maybe book it at a specialist, get their opinion

No the AWD is not known for having a problem. Is it a dragging caliper?

Brakes feel fine! cars done 88k and drives faultless apart from this! Car rolls on a slight hill as it should! i did notice today that i can hear something at about 60mph but shuts up after that???
