I've just stumbled across this

http://www.xk180.com

Another great car Jaguar couldn't afford to develop, and probably couldn't afford not to make cry

Now it looks like you can have your chance.

They have a web site add in the JEC Mag

I think I know the company, if I am correct they do quite a few different convertions.

Sounds good, but it's a shame they don't swap the auto box for a manual. The real XK180 was a manual - and an absolute animal!

If you don't use the donor dash you can then put in a manual box in with new ECUs for engine and box.

The car will be at Goodwood, I will still be in France then but am planing to see Paul on my return.

They are a good company, I have known them for some time in my KIT days

Are you sure?

I saw the XK180 at a show - IIRC paddle shift override on an auto box, and when it's driven by Clarkson in one of his videos, it's sounds like an auto (torque converter take up & slurred changes etc)

The only manual one was the XKR-R prototype as thrashed on TopGear, and tested by Evo... again IIRC

My 2p worth

There was an XK180 at V-MAX a while back. IIRC it was owned by the owners of Bruntingthorpe and was the only one in existance that actually works. It was quite a sight seeing it thrashed down the runway smile Someone must have some pictures somewhere? I'll pop a question on the V-Max forum.
