Who do you guys go with and recommend? Think this is something I should get, the sooner the better, in order to avoid massive bills further down the line.

I had one from Auto Protect that is due to finish next month it is without doubt the best value for money thing I've ever bought, I guess that it being a Jaguar and needing attention at the extortionate main dealers adds to it's value but for what I paid compared to what I've claimed for it was a good buy. The only issue is I have to cash flow each claim as the dealers won't deal directly with the warranty companies.

I recently looked at buying one from Warranty Direct but decided against it as the cost of the warranty only covered £40 labour and 50% of the parts price, so I decided against it and put the £700 per year premium against the first 6 hours labour at the dealer wink

The policies change depending on the mileage and age of the car, I suppose the best one would be a Jaguar one but again they're not cheap and my car is now too old and done too many miles to be covered.

Hi, thanks for your reply, I actually got in touch with Autoprotect, but was informed they only sell their products as a part of a deal when buying a car from a dealer, i.e. not to private individuals already owning the car, like me.

The JEC (Jaguar Enthusiasts Club) do a warrenty for Jags

I would think you have to be a member to take advantage of it, so join through www.jaguar-enthusiasts.org.uk

When your membership number comes through in a couple of days give them a ring.

I am a member of JEC, so will definitely have a look at their package. In the mean time, has anyone here got it? Have you had to use it? What was your experience?

Also, what do you think about the AA's breakdown repair cover? About £65 a year, and it covers up to five claims up to £500 each.
