My 3rd key suddenly stopped working although the remote FOB still works perfectly. Can anyone tell me how to reprogram so that the key will work again? I'm aware of the procedure for programming the remote FOB but have never seen any for the key itself.

Thanks
George

Hi George,

If I'm right you saying that the key still operates the locks and brings up the dash lights but won't crank/start the engine?

If thats the case then the only way to re-program the immobiliser chip in the key is either with the Jaguar Main Agent WDS diagnostics, or the Autologic diagnostic unit used by many independent Jaguar specialists.(note chip in key could have developed a fault and need key replacing + coding)

Word of warning tho, make sure you take all three keys with you as they all get re-coded, also the whole process takes no more than 15-20 mins with the Autologic, so generally speaking max billing time is half an hours labour.
