My S-Type is 3 1/2 years old, has done 56,000 miles and is approaching its 60,0000 miles service. I have a service contract for the car which expires in 9 months so it will cover this upcoming service. I think I'm right in saying that at 60,000 the service includes major work on belts etc and their automatic replacement. In other words, it's a big servoce. Please can anyone confirm whether I'm right or wrong, and if right let me know what the major actions are at this service interval? If I'm wrong, when is the big service due?

thanks,
R.

Not sure what you mean, assuming it's 60K not 600K then all mine seems to need extra is a brake fluid change & an Air con service what ever that is. Neither are part of the schedule. On my 2.7DSE S it's £406 for the service & £ 95 & £125 for the others....
No Cambelt on any petrol jag they're all chains.

Thanks tr7V8. It's 60,000 (slip of the digit there). So it looks like it's a regular service, nothing particularly special. Do you know at what mileage the chains are due to be replaced? R
