I am doing the dunsfield vmax run this friday in my 98 XJR, woz wondering about putting on some 9 x 20 XKR rims on the rear to increase my gearing

Has anyone tried this before? i've been told they will fit

And more importantly, any ideas were i could buy/borrow/rent some for the day, just for a couple of high speed runs?

Would obviously leave a hefty deposit with anyone letting me use there wheels

Thanks in advance David

Norman , I thought that the XK 96-05 was compatible with the XJ6/XJ8 up to the Al bodied ones ? I think the new XK may be compatible with the new AL bodied XJ series. However changing the wheels will only change the gearing if the overall size, rims and tyres is different to the old wheel/tyre combination.

The 30 series tyres on the 20" wheels will keep gearing similar, i think.

The XJ has smaller front widths to the Xk 20's, so won't fit.
