Watching this this afternoon and they had an XJS v12 in with a misfire... I giggled as I watched them going through all the frustration I remember - Locate the plugs... swear. Plugs come out, electrodes nearly worn away
Changed the plugs, moving the A/C compressor to do so.
still misfired.
Change the distributor cap and HT leads.
still misfired
Check the fuel injectors are firing - nope, remove the fuel rail and clean each injector
And then it runs right!
The funniest bit for me was knowing they will probably be doing it all again tomorrow. I cant say I hated my XJS but watching them suffering all the same old problems I had and getting frustrated at the reluctance of the car to work correctly.
