S Type Diesel Fuel Consumption

This sounds similar to a friend's E class which was off the road for THREE MONTHS with electrical problems. This was not a warranty matter as the car was just over 3 years old but the main dealer did not want to know because the car had one service at an independent Mercedes specialist just after the warranty expired. Basically it sat in the corner of the workshop and they dealt with it when they felt like it! He sold it and bought an Audi.
