Hi all,

I spent too much at Christmas. She spent far too much.
The two year fixed rate mortgage runs out in five minutes and we need money.
So the GF sees my XK8 as a "liquid asset" to be quickly disposed of to provide instant cash.
1) I can't disagree 2) I don't really want to sell my car. (but I might have to....)

So what should I ask for it ?
It's a 97 (R plate) XK8 with only 32k on the clock. It is truly immaculate in every way. Has all the refinements you'd
expect or want. Silver paint on 17" revolvers. All black inside. Totally original and as it left the factory. I had it from the widow of an old boy
who just drove it to and from the golf club every sunday. (no really - these things do happen)...
Blow test is perfect, all is well on every level. It's an absolute peach. It even has a Jaguar umberella strapped into the boot lid.

So what do you, as an educated audience, think I should realistically expect form it ?

Best wishes
Tony

You might get the best price by advertising in the JEC magazine, or here on PH.

That way you'll reach the people who really want a pristine one, and hopefully are prepared to pay above the book price to get exactly the car they want.

There's lots of average condition/mileage/patchy history Jaguars on Autotrader at the moment....some have been there for months.

I get the impression that Jaguars are a bit out of favour - what with the price of petrol and tax
(Thank you Gordon, punch) and have really got to be good to sell.

Good luck
