The first time my car was tested on the Dyno at Paramount Performance, was the key moment when I knew that some sort of performance modification was required. It was found to be producing 352.6 BHP, quite a few short of the 'brochure figure' of 400BHP stated by Jaguar.

The best seemed to be having the upper supercharger pulley upgrade, a new panel air filter and a full re-map. According to Paramount, this option would also allow me to get the best from the sports exhaust and racing cats that were already fitted to the car.

Prior to booking it in, I had spoken with many owners that have had this work done to their cars, and all have said that it really ‘transforms’ the XK’s. The overall power/performance is increased throughout the rev range, throttle response is improved and in many cases even the fuel consumption is seen to improve. So this definately seemed the best way to go.

I collected the car the other day from their HQ in Slough, and my first reaction on driving the car was Bloody Hell, I wish I had got this done ages ago!

It is still silky smooth, but pulls stronger than ever. The additional power is there the moment you touch the throttle. However delivery remains very progressive with no discernible ‘flat spots’ or ‘gaps’ (as I have experienced on previous re-mapped cars). Prior to me collecting it, the car was re-tested on the Dyno and is now producing a very healthy 429.4 BHP. An extra 76.8 BHP!!

This is most definitely my most positive ‘tuning’ experience to date. As far as my XKR is concerned Paramount have done an amazing job, and they really know their stuff! So much so that even my wife is now keen to get her ST re-mapped by them, as soon as we have some spare cash!

Thanks Guys!

Cheers Paul!

I love the performance gains, and the noise is just awesome after those racing cats were fitted!smokin

It is the best sounding Jag XK I have ever heard, and have had numerous similar comments from others, most recently a couple of chaps in a Watford car park this afternoon!

Thanks again,

Scott.
