X type problems?

I have just purchased a 2004 x type 2.0ltr dse , i am really pleased with it overall , howerver I have an annoying buzzing that continues with the engine off, also I have a squeak/rumble shimming sound from the power steering on the odd occasion when at low speeds has anyone got any info on this, It has full jaguar service history and has covered 77,000 miles. any other info you have would be great also what are the current prices for servicing at a jaguar dealer ie stratstone.

The buzzing noise you hear when the engine is off but the key is in position I or II is probably the throttle motor, if so, then nothing to worry about. Not sure about your power steering noise, unless the serp. belt is old and starting to slip a bit or the fluid level is low.

the buzzing noise stays on when the key is out of the ignition and it is still buzzing when I get in the car over night also,


I found this about the buzzing on here,

"In that case I would say that it is your motorised aspriator, there was a jaguar Technical Service bulletin to re-wire these so they only worked with ignition on. Currently yours is wired so it works with ign off for upto an hour or something. Nothing to worry about, but if you are bothered you could have it fixed."

does anyone know ehere you can get hold of a service schedule for a x type?
