Hi all. I've been looking for an EVENTER for a while now, and haven't had a lot of success in finding one. Condition doesn't matter that much as I'd be hoping to do a full resto, anyway. Neither does LHD.Steering wheel either side is OK. If anyone comes across a suitable candidate, can you remember this enquiry and direct vendor in my direction ? Thanks for your assistance. Regards JG

I'm sure there's one for sale in the current JEC magazine somewhere. I'll have a look when I get home.

Jeremy Wade was advertising one in this months XK Gazette. He's a very well renowned guy in the XK (50s type) scene, he supplied the XK140 that Octane's editor, Robert Coucher, drives as his daily mount.
The Lynx Eventer he's listing is one of the two 6 cylinder cars.
I can't find a website, the phone number in (01630) 657502
No connection, I just saw the ad.

I guess Lynx were happy to convert anything they were asked to According to the ad there were only two six cylinder cars built, which makes it even rarer than 6 cylinder SeriesIII E-Types, where Jaguar built 3.

Hi JG, Have a look at my web site, I've registered about 55/67: http://www.lynxeventer.comSorry, it's only in french but an English version will come as soon as I'll have completed the French version far enough. I know about 6 or 7 Eventers curently for sale in Europe. At my knowledge, there should be three 3.6L: - N°22 was for sale recently in Australia. Far away from UK I should admit but if it's your quest... - N°42 is owned in UK and is not for sale for what I know. - I haven't any info's about the one for sale by Jeremy Wade but I'll be very interested to know more about it. Feel free to contact me if you like to get more info's...

He regularly contributes details of XKs to the XK Club.

JG I'll be pleased to help you any way. It's funny, my birthday is September 4th and I've bought my Eventer September 3th as my own birthday present It was a very nice day a8hex said: I'm sure Jeremy Wade would be happy to provide the info he has on the car he was advertising. As I'm Belgian (french speaking), it's sometime tricky to discuss by phone (I can't help with hands as Italian do )

You're right, Eventer n°20 was advertised in the Jaguar Enthusiast issue of July 2008 on page 117. It's a 1984 V12, first owner since Lynx converted it to Eventer spec. The car is used as a daily driver. It needs a complete body overhaul but the basis looks good. I have others pictures of the car if needed. http://www.lynxeventer.com/products/eventer%20n%c2...

I think I've got Jeremy Wade's eMail address at home. I'll look for you at the weekend. Robert Hughes is easier, he has a website. Robert is a well known seller of Jaguars. I looked at a lovely 3.4 S-Type he was selling a couple of years ago. http://www.roberthughes.co.uk/
