Discussion
Hi Henk,
is this yours by chance? Or are there more Lynxes Eventer in the Netherlands?

Edit: Probably not as this one was seen in Rotterdam on friday while yours is in the UK....

The "Eventer" seen on Autoblog is not an Eventer but a copy by Les Ateliers Réunis (6 to 11 supposedly made in the early 90's). Visible differences with Eventers from the outside are fuel door, air vents on C pilar, quarter lights frame and rear wiper position. More differences are visible inside like unfoldable rear seats and the bodywork is GRP on steel frame (full steel on true Eventers).
Apart from the Ateliers Réunis recently arrived in The Netherlands, 5 Eventers are known in The Netherlands:
N°30
N°55
N°65
An early example with unknown production number
And now N°62

Hi Vince,
N°62 was in Belgium until Henk bought it. It was in France before but was in The Netherlands before that from new.
These cars are used to move from hands to hands, from country to country and even from one continent to another.
Have a look here to learn more about Eventers (sorry it's in French, the UK version is nearly empty) www.lynxeventer.com

I just bought Eventer 62. Very exciting indeed!
The car is now with Chris Knowles at KWE in England; I intend to make sure that all is in order, and will do some mild upgrades to performance and comfort while respecting the original.
Will keep you all posted!

Congrats and welcome.

Eventer 62 is now completed and will return to The Netherlands next week.
The car was originally Dutch, so I will get the old license plate back, apparently that is possible.
62 was in very good condition when we started with the restoration, but still a massive amount of expensive work was necessary.
One has to realise that these cars are now over 20 years old, and rust proofing, among other things, was always an issue with XJS.
I know from personal experience, having restored a mint 1995 Celebration coupe and our 1994 convertible twice :-)
(plus two different series 3 Daimler Double Sixes)
So, here goes!
There is a photo logbook of all the work at:
