This Eventer had been picked up by a Scrap Yard Crane prior to Woka purchasing it thus damaging the Roof with Chains, Mark paid £ 40 for it and I collected it, been a few years ago now, prob 1999 / 2000. It was hanging when he bought it, well past repair.
Hi Fester,I knew the car was very badly damaged before it was bangered. I have only one picture of this Eventer before the race, could you help me to find more?

Great shot Swindler! If you have more pictures of this one (or can take more) let me know. I'll be pleased to add them on the website.BTW if you see it again and are lucky to talk to the owner, could you let him know about my Eventers Register...
Thanks Swindler!
I should admit I knew it thanks to another spotter but I have no more info's than the fact it was spotted previously in Harrogate. Any info's who could allow me to contact the owner will be welcome (as the street in which you saw it). To respect privacy of the owner you could send me more by e-mail if you like.

Lynx Eventer up for sale on Classic Cars website
Pricey for an early model, but seems to have been in the same ownership for years.
Perhaps not the best colour combo tho...

Hi BigDj,
Could you please let me know more about the red Eventer bodyshell in the paintshop. If it's a TWR, could it be N°35 converted in 1986 for Mr Burton (the only one red TWR pre facelift Eventer I know)? N°35 was sold in 2010 by Mike Abbas and will soon come out from KWE where it was fully recommissioned.
About the Eventer "half full of water" (copyright richw 82) advertised times ago by Derek Watson, I suppose it's N°27.

I've seen that car in autumn 2006 when it was in Derek's workshop. Derek offered it for the owner as a project and he was very realistic about it's condition and the heavy restoration needed. It was not sold then, but a friend of mine bought it directly from the owner in February 2009. It was realy deadly rusted and it was decided to restore it using another XJS as a donor car. Restoration evolved to a full rebuild based on a as new bodyshell. Pascal Kayedjian (he's in France around Lyon) did a tremendous job which will prove if needed that any Eventer in any condition can be rebuild better than new. Pictures of the rebuild can be seen on the website of the workshop.

I think it was 2007/8 when I last saw the car. It was in the long weeds at the end of the yard at Great Longstone, keeping a Series 1 Daimler Double Six and a Coles crane company.http://www.lynxeventer.com/products/eventer%20n%c2...

Nice to know that it lives on in some form.
There's one here for sale, and according to his advert in C & S C he's another one coming in.

Edit: went through the cars for sale and indeed there are indeed two for sale there. Extremely rare!
