The Eventer with the 'A Lynx' registration plate was regularly parked outside the Lynx factory Pascal so I wonder if it was owned by the boss of Lynx ?? The same plate use to be on another red XJS if i remember correctly as well

Lynx famously owned 1 YNX which was on all their photographed cars. If I'm correct, isn't the unit now a sandwich factory since Lynx closed? It was when I went there, which I did because Lynx were still advertising in the classic magsas if still working yet had closed down. A phone call got his wife, who told me I was on the direct line and couldn't be put through to the stores!

Hello Toad,
There were several registration numbers used by Lynx over the time and of course A 1YNX was one of these.
The question remains, who owns that one Eventer, n°56 ?
FYI it was sold and registered in France in 1995 and was auctioned in 1998 by Poulain Le Fur. I doubt that it was bought by Lynx...

Thread resurrection but there's at least one living in and around the Hague, Netherlands. I see it on a regular basis and it's looking a bit weary.

Thanks for reminding me these things exist...not. Sorry I just could never see the point. An XJ-S converted into a totally impractical van (!) The only thing worse than a picture of one is actually seeing one in real life.

I am absolutely astonished by the "values". All I would want to do to one is cut the back off and convert one to a standard XJ-S.

Back to the original heading "where are they all?" It would give me the greatest satisfaction to know they had all been converted back into standard cars...

Horrible things, sorry, give me an XJ-S with the flying buttresses anytime.

Very shiny, but would those headlights pass an MOT?
Little things like that tell the real story...

What's up with the one in the background - no buttresses! Almost like an XJS 2dr saloon...

Don't know why they wouldn't, or maybe I'm missing something?

Ooohh I very much like that 2-door saloon in the back. It's almost like a mini XJR x308 from the side. Any more pics?

Isn't it wonderfully ironic to call this an AJ6 when it's fitted with a V12.

(PS, anyone know the name for the V12, the original straight 6 was famously the XK, the later 6 the AJ6 followed by the AJ16, but I don't recall ever seeing a name for the V12.)

To make a direct link with the topic (Jag guru, I hope you'll appreciate)

I actualy have no idea wher could be the red XJR-S Eventer show hereover. And I don't have anymore info's than the comment published with the picture in July 97 in Jaguar World

The metalic grey XJR-S Eventer ordered by Reverend Thomas Mendel is probably in Japan where the very same one is regularly spotted.

The 60th Eventer is still owned by the same owner in Brussels. He was asked to join us, he'll try to make it but will need to confirm later.

hi my name is darren and we have one of the lynx eventers its metalic blue with blue crocadile seats etc dont no what number it is but wot price would they go 4 as were looking to sell it no mot or tax but been stored in a garage etc email daz.r@hotmail.co.uk
