Has anyone said the 3-Litre X-Type yet?

With it's permanent AWD, I wouldn't chose any other Jag to drive on a freezing snowy day. smile

(Although I might consider a swap for an E-Type or XJ220 - if you fancy swapping one of these thirsty machines for a tidy 3.0 X-Type, just let me know.)

from what I can gather Jaguar owners are very protective of the cars they own and will argue all day that there Car is the best jaguar have built and maybe they are all right.I have a couple of XJS's and I wouldn't swap them for the world (at this moment anyway).

One day I will have to scratch the XJS itch , has to be an early white model,
with the return of the saint theme playing in the back ground

OK then the 3LT X-Type Estate, a good work horse, has a lot going for it

But I would have to go with my XKR although Jaguar didn't build mine, I did with the help of my machanic Tom

Best Jaguar ever made? ..... Mine.
Reason ..... Because it's mine.

That is probably the simplest question that I have ever been asked in my life. smile
I mean, if it wasn't the best, why would I buy it?
OK, it's old and it's got a few miles on the clock but I have wanted a Jaguar for a long time and this is the best one that I could find .... for the money.

I well I managed all last winter up in Scotland in a XJ8 out and about driving every day during the big dump we had. Full set of Michelin Alpine rubber on and ASC off. Did not get stuck once. Mind you the boot space was down a bit due to the 2 bags of sand. No one was more shocked then I as to how good it was not least after how dismal it was the year before on P6000.

Not sure if it's the 'best' Jag ever but my favourite Jag has to be the XJS particularly the '89-90 model year.....
However I have to say, I'm pretty fond of my X308.
