Hi
Thanks for all of the comments. I am trying to get on with it as and when I have the time.
The front headlights have now been fitted and wired in
The horn has been fitted
The front grill has been painted and fitted
The engine strut bar has been fitted
The rear lights have been fitted
New tail gate badge clips have been fitted
The badges are back on
The rear number plate lights have been fitted
Here you go!:

Hi Guys
I have really been up against it with the Golf. The reason for this is that the photographs are being taken this Thursday for the auction catalogue. Cosmetically it needs to be right for Thursday but I will then have until the 26th of August to finish everything as the auction is on the 30th.
For those interested it will be sold at Brooklands in Weybridge. Search Historics on-line and you will find the catalogue.
Ok, since the last time I posted, the wheels have been refurbished and are better than new, the brake callipers have been refurbished and are also better then new.
Cosmetically the car is nearly complete, just the wipers to fit and a few bits and pieces.
Mechanically the brakes need to be set-up, lots of electrical jobs need completing before going for an MOT and rolling-road set-up.
Enjoy the pictures!:

Nice work.
2 things :-
why have you left the stone chips in the grille rail?
is the silver for the wheels the original silver? I worked at VW many years ago and it looks very light compared to how I remember them..
