I love that. And have just sent my wife the link to that auction. A month before a baby's due probably isn't the time to be buying it though. But I want it so much...

What about seeing whether 4Star Classics would sell it on a commission basis.

Hi
They have sold a car for me before and they do go for good money.

They can though take 6 weeks ish to sell and to be totally honest I could do with the cash.

They have a restored Lhasa Green one for sale at the mo and they are asking 13k!

Cheers for the idea though!

If I only I had the space, and the cash.

Good luck with the sale Trooper, hope to see you on here again someday with another project, always an interesting read.

Ok, have you tried the classifieds on carandclassic.co.uk? I managed to sell my mother's mint low mileage mk 2 8v quite quickly there, for the (bullish) asking price.

Apols if this is egg sucking territory...

(If only we were two years from now - for boring reasons I'd snap this up. Any chance you'll have another one in two years? ;-) )

Thanks guys!

There are some lovely people on Pistonheads smile

I have had a few enquiries on the Golf so fingers crossed it will sell soon.

Ha ha, think this is the last project for the time being!

I put it on Car & Classic this afternoon, funny enough with a link to this thread! smile
