Hello all,

I just need your expert advice smile

I have been quoted the following PCP deal and was just wondering whether it's reasonable:

3 door DSG
Solid White
19" Prets
Keyless Entry
Reversing Camera

24 months
£2000 deposit
£386 p/m

I'd appreciate it if someone with a similar spec would let me know their thoughts on this.

Thanks

its a close call, but golf wins on fuel.. woohoo!
Golf R is 0-62 4.9
0-60 is 4.5
According to http://www.volkswagencomparison.co.uk/specificatio... they are both 4.9 on the 0 - 62 with DSG/Auto transmission.

Pealing it back to the raw data there is a gnats whisker between them in most metrics. It's almost spooky.

Probably not tbh as a fair chunk of the monthly instalment will be covered by my work car allowance.

How many miles a year do you do roughly?

That quote is based on 10K per year I might go over that slightly and the excess mile charge is 7.2p.

What do you reckon?

Also the 4.9 is overly zealous, it's closer to 4.4 depending on your driving! I've had 4.512! smile

Judging by those options, it looks about the same as adding DSG alone doesn't it (can't remember the price)? If that's the case, that's quite expensive imo.

I had the same thing today. A repeat Stage 2 update. Spoke to Phil who said there'd been a c. 15 week delay on the build week?! Can't yet confirm if it's a glitch or true.

He did say that some people who have just recently ordered have had their build week pushed forward?! Load of tosh from VW if you ask me, hopefully it is a glitch and nothing else.

Does that take it into next year then?

I think all those options together are around the price of DSG (I maybe wrong, cannot remember), and if that's the case it'd be a similar spec to me then. From what was posted, it would seem expensive compared to mine smile (1080 deposit, 358/m after that, 10k miles, rear camera, fully maintained bla bla smile).

No clarification yet but if it's all correct then yes.

Don't think that is correct. Spoke to today as well I have build week 38. No delays mentioned. Update on stage expected in 2-3 weeks

I'm really hoping not, don't think I can be bothered to wait another 3 months if it is true. When I spoke to Phil, it was at the end of the day and he'd only just received an e-mail about it, too. Hopefully he'll be able to clarify things and update me at some point.
