Lease on Golf R

Tbh, we don't know WHY Phil was pushed (assuming he was pushed), so bringing him into it when he can't defend himself is a little unfair.
Regardless, business deals are cheaper everywhere you look, so it's not really any surprise a Golf R would be cheaper on a business deal. It's just the way it is.
We just so happened to find a way where VW were bypassing that - it got publicized too much and then it was shutdown, simple as that imo.
Because he admitted submitting fraudulent applications?Regardless, business deals are cheaper everywhere you look, so it's not really any surprise a Golf R would be cheaper on a business deal. It's just the way it is.

Ignore my last couple of quotes.
Chris Waugh from http://www.selectvehiclelease.co.uk/ is a joke, trying to charge £56-£60 a month more on a car just because there is no waiting list and it's in stock.
I am no mug.

Jeezo, this thread has went a bit crap has it not? As far as I can see, there was a few cracking PERSONAL lease deals, and if you were quick, you managed to get one, as happened recently with the BMW M135i. If not you missed it. Then some lease companies were trying to sneak you in as a business deal, which I am assuming yous realised, no? It must have said somewhere, this is what it was? They got caught, and the deals got knocked back.
This is not just a VW thing, having two different prices, this is all over lease companies websites when you look for a car, a price for personal, and a business price. Surely yous have seen this before? I am not saying that it is right that they have two different prices, but that's the way it is.
I await the abuse, or maybe, people could get back to posting about there great new golf R and there opinions and experiences with it.

Deal was originally described and sold as personal lease (PCH) it was only when customers submitted their personal and bank a/c details, completed a credit check and paid the fee were they told they would be put through as a sole trader, at which point and because of this, I actually cancelled my agreement and went with a main dealer, who worse still, having ordered the vehicle never actually mentioned the personal v trading as, switch
Most deals I've seen are quite straight forward, business only or Business / personal (less VAT / plus VAT)
Like this one for instance (quite a good deal in itself lol)
http://www.allcarleasing.co.uk/car-leasing/seat-le...
Not plus VAT and add another grand... as was the case with the Golf
Although I can't drive until January 2015 (medical reasons), have been following this thread
My company car scheme also offers access to a personal leasing scheme called Fuel & Go - the payment covers all monthly costs including maintenance & insurance, and is just deducted from net salary (no BIK implications either)
A 2 year, 20,000 mile indication for a base 3 dr R is showing at £371 inc VAT, with no up front deposit either - seems a pretty good deal at first glance, and the options I would likely choose would increase that to £427.87 (winter pack, heated windscreen, Discover nav and pearl/metallic paint)
Will be interesting to see what deals are on the go nearer January
S3 is showing at £498 before options

The R beats the S3 in all the reviews, if you want the S3 the same spec as the R you need to spend alot on options (check RForum for examples), you will be talking a good few thousand extra, on top of the already higher list price.
Either way both would be a good car, but the R is winning all the polls at the moment and has a brilliant standard spec.

The R does seem like a very good well specced car from all reviews - a colleague is thinking of getting one as well
On the company car scheme, the R (or any car with higher BIKs) makes little sense with the tax bill ,but the lease here seems to be pretty good, and if I put the mileage up to 30k over 24 months, takes the base car to circa £400 monthly all in
The R on the company car scheme is going to be over £600 per month in comparison
One of the attractions of the 2 year scheme for me is that if my health continues to give problems in the future (3 out of last 5 year years I've been prevented from driving) then I'm not tied in for too long to an expensive contract

S3 residuals are a fair few k less than the R.
I think you will find that S3 residuals are more realistic. I.e they will at least leave you with some excess for a deposit when you come to px the car. My residual of £22750 on a standard 5dr R will leave nothing when I come to change it, I doubt I could even sell it for the figure given the amount of them that will be on the market. Of course the dealer may offer me £25k or so for it but we already know there are discounts of £3600 or so available so that would still leave him with £1350 more profit than my current deal. zayn said:

Did you get that through the tracker or from VW?
email through tracker. It is only a week difference but show's at least something is working.. I will wait until the end of this month to get further update from VW CS as this is what they advised me last weekcuz3003 said:
Just FYI You may want to check your order number from Phil. I had one and it turned out to be someone elses and I had entered that into the tracker. Inchcape have given me another which is luckily at the same build state but still a long way off.
The order number I have checks out with spec so I'm not sure if it could be someone elses although it is possible.Gassing Station | Audi, Seat, Skoda & VW | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
