Thanks guys. National vehicle solutions looks interesting. Good quote on their site. Will reach out to them in the week to discuss. I've never leased a car before so need to look at the detail.

Please note that in order to meet the lenders criteria all customers must either receive a car allowance, be able to re-claim business mileage or be a Director of a limited company, proof is required at point of application
Surely any of us can be a director of a limited company?

That's what NVS told me when I asked what their "PCH Conditions apply" line was about...
That may explain the pricing, but they can't get away with that now as it is all out in the open. If you say i don't have any of that information then what do they offer ? i expect similar to the rest of us got from Arval
All you need is a letter from your employer to say :

Should Joe Blogs use his own vehicle for business use, the company will reimburse his expenses

This apparently is a request made by VW themselves not the leasing / finance company.

And which finance company does NVS use? you've guessed it Arval.

Well i am an Employee and on the PCH from Arval i was not asked for any letter when i ordered in July, maybe that has changed recently.

Last one I promise - the fleet (minus the camper). You can now see why i was so happy with basic red...lol

Car is brilliant, we both love it. Engine is tremendous, pulls like a train. And yet so docile when required. Funny all the sideways glances we get at traffic lights.

Brighton and Sussex generally seem to have gone a bit crazy for these. I've got three parked up locally within half a mile and saw another three around Sussex at the weekend (Lewes/Uckfield way). They all look good, but the Lapis blue 3 dr with 19's is the winner. They also look great in the darker blue IMO.

If I didn't need a big old estate I'd have ordered months ago!

Hoping when we're done with buggies etc in a few years the mk8 will be on the horizon. . .

Ohhhh, b**ger!

Just got a response from VWCS (2nd attempt), I was told I won't get a confirmed build week until the end of next month but my unconfirmed build week is now wk42 - circa 13th October which presumably means I won't see it until mid / late November!

When I ordered (June 20th), I was told delivery would likely be mid / late September, now it's 2 months later frown

From other posts, I gather this may be brought forward a bit but still not happy about this. Who would have thought it would take about 5 months to lease a fricking Golf FFS!

Seems consistent: I was told exactly the same things- only difference was I ordered 1 week before you, and have a B/W 1 week before you. Must be all these private buyers clogging up the system. Ha ha!

Same here so I've cancelled my order and gone for a focus ST3 instead with 2 weeks delivery.

Not as fast but £100 a month cheaper and actually available with better spec.

Good to know the dark blue looks good. The wife's car is being delivered on Monday. Although. I have still to see an "R" on the road in the West Midlands.

So how much a month is the ST3 working out at?

I've ended up with a car that has privacy glass, style pack and sat nav for £220 a month including VAT. So £1225 worth of options for £435 over the term. I'd have loved to wait for the golf but the end of November just wasn't cutting it with me after being told initially September.

I was quoted 225 for the same vehicle
Which makes it 6705 over the term (including fee)
Think Id rather wait and pay the extra 395 for the R
TBF though 10kpa over 5kpa makes the ST definitely worth considering.

Annoyingly I have an email from dealer dated mid July stating build week 37. I just phoned VW CS and they've said week 46 - "but could slip either way". Tracker still shows stage 2.

Problem was I'd specced DSG and Metallic paint which pushed the price to £300 a month.
So I'm saving £2400 on a slightly slower car with more gadgets which I'm happy with and don't have to wait 3 months for.

to be fair that is the normal revised price for a DSG and metallic , there was a listing posting here on what it cost's for options.., But your wait time is the same for everyone atm. I remember having to wait 4 months for my Previous Audi A1 when they arrived.. smile

I waited 11 months for my A3 so 5-6 months for the Golf is a breath of fresh air lol.
