Does anybody know if the Brodit proclip designed for the Golf V will fit the R? If you select R on the website it shows "no products available". Phoned the supplier and they were not sure.
It won't, work collogue tried it no fit. What you need is the Golf VII clip normal and R's are same interior parts just with different finishes. here or here or hereb0rk said:

Only I just can't imagine who would drive that little and need a new car to it in. The excess mileage could easily end up spiraling out of control? How do people monitor this? Are we all wealthy enough just to write a cheque for £2k at the end of the lease for the excess mileage? Or are people maybe putting money away for it every month? I guess that is more of a personal finance issue though...
Also, I have a good credit score, yet have been refused credit in the past (with seemingly no rhyme or reason). Moreover, I am still paying off car finance for my wife's car (got £9k remaining) which I suppose she does give me the money for, but the agreement is in my name. Would this affect my ability to get one of the better deals?

Personally I've done 3700 miles since December in my current car. Do I need a brand new car, nope not at all, do I want a brand new R, hell yes.
I do suspect a large percentage of those with a 5k limit will exceed it. Many of the deals had an excess pence per mile cost so cheap the maths didn't work out to take a higher mileage deal. Obviously you do have to put the money away each month or prepare yourself for a big lump at the end.
There was mention a few pages back of the lease company checking the mileage mid term (probably when serviced) and then adjusting the monthly cost accordingly, will this happen in reality - who knows??

Last lease car I returned was over the allocated mileage by 1500 miles. They just billed me after the return and I paid it as a lump sum.
If you find your mileage is going way above the allocated amount and you don't want to be hit with one big bill at the end, you can contact the lease company early on and they usually offer you the option of paying an increased monthly amount.

In the contract I signed with VW it just states 7.2p per mile for any additional mile above 10k up to 99,999 miles within the two years. There is no checking or recalculation of monthly payments, that's just people talking out of their backsides.I do suspect a large percentage of those with a 5k limit will exceed it. Has anyone taken delivery on an 'arval' car yet? Spoke to the dealer today, as my car is showing stage 7 of 7 and she mentioned a 14 day cooling off period. I haven't even signed the final agreement yet!Does this mean that i will have to wait 14 days after i have signed the paperwork?

Mine arrived with a puddle in the boot and soaking rear seats. Collected on 2nd to be sorted out!!
Mine's been in the workshop twice already, going in for a 3rd time in two weeks.... clutch release bearing is the latest problem. Only got 1k miles on the clock. n4aat said:
Re excess mileage. I have taken a 5k per annum lease with a view to doing 20k per year. I have factored the excess at 7ppm into the cost calc. Only an extra £74 a month for the extra 15k miles per annum.
Be prepared to pay more than that at the end of the lease. Fair wear and tear on a 15k mile car is a lot less than that on a 60k mile car.Gassing Station | Audi, Seat, Skoda & VW | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
