Interesting article about the leasing "scandal" - seem someone could be breaking the law - not sure what to make of it though as it says that VW have complied since last Autumn, yet it was VW who we've had the problem with.

Interesting article, thanks for sharing. I suppose if franchise networks could be done away with and we all ordered online cars would be cheaper for us all.....

Question peeps.....if you lease through NVS for example....who's name is on the registration document? Mine or the lease company?

Big change in insurance....if I put me on document 187 fully comp.... Put lease company down no one will quote!!!

Hi guys,

Is the NVS deal still the best for personal leasing? Anyone used them? When do you think delivery time might be?

I went to VW Stoke yesterday to get a quote....they don't do personal lease but a PCP type deal...

Basically for a white poverty spec with 5k they wanted 1500 deposit and 365pm.... Crazy money!!!!

Any help appreciated, I've almost persuaded the missus now and our loan finishes by December so ready for our next car!

Rich
I ordered a back in June after finding this forum and R Forums really helpful in getting the best deal. I went through Drive The Deal, they currently show as getting a £3745 discount through the dealer they are using, if you put down the minimum £1500 deposit then using VW's own calculator https://www.volkswagen.co.uk/financeCalculator/cho... your payments should work out about £260 per month on a PCP 36 month contract at 5k miles per year (7.2ppm excess mileage). Much better than £365/month.
That's good.
You ordered through Drive The Deal and they gave you VW as a finance option? Or you had to arrange that by contacting VW yourself?

And yes lease company will be the registered keepers, or in my case VW are, but same box ticket on the insurance application.

Maybe call them and explain the situation as what you should put on the application, it does seem odd, i'm 99% positive i put lease company as both of them.

Dtd just pass you on to one of their preferred dealers. All standard VW finance options are available. After dtd have put the dealer in touch with you, you won't heard from them again. All contact from then on is with the dealer direct.

Which company? How old are you? How much NCB do you have?

Mine is arriving Thursday so I am looking at finalising insurance today - I haven't found any that low and I am 49 with 14 years NCB but perhaps being just outside London puts it up.

Lease companies are different. Ultimately they are the owner, some list you as the registered keeper (on the V5), but most do not.

comparethemarket have the option to quote based on not being the registered keeper, Direct Line will also cover leased cars.

Mine was around £550... 15k miles a year, with business use, 30 years old, no claims, no convictions, 12 yrs no claims.

The no convictions bit might not last long though.
