Who's this with please and how much is the admin fee?

178.79 x 23 = 4112.17 + 2000 = 6112.17 (that can't possibly be correct, can it?)

Cheers

How are the credit checks generally speaking?

I've just got a mortgage back in June this year and my car allowance from work kicks in from January 2015 which is 2/3 months before delivery of these current orders.

Thanks.

I think you need to add the vat onto the deposit for that deal as well, so another £400 but still cheap

Not that cheap on their website now. £187 + VAT.

I'd be tempted to go direct to a VW dealer for this deal if possible - then you can avoid paying the arrangement/admin fee.

Anyone got a new deal off a VW dealer and can recommend them?

I've just spoken to Dave at Inchcape/Cheltenham VW. Had my original order through Phil after the whole VW BCH/PCH fiasco came through. I'm sticking to them as they've been transparent (with me anyway) and their cost difference is negligible compared to CVL (rang them this morning to ask for a quote). He did say that although new orders have a waiting time until March, that he has some Manuals on order for Jan/8 weeks prior. May be worth giving him a buzz?

mmm... wish I didn't get itchy feet only a few months after getting every car. There's always something else I want to try...

Are the VW deals broadly comparable with those quoted above via lease companies? (OK, OK, I could ring VW but I am being lazy...)

Tried Oldham and Macclesfield they didn't want to know...

Oldham actually said they'd rcvd a memo this morning from VWFS stating basically not to accept / process any PCH enquirys

I pretty much gave up on e-mails correspondence from anyone and just rang as the response is quicker.

I've not ordered new from them though, I had mine placed through them a few months back and I spoke to them to compare the new VWFS deals that are out with what I have.

Just bear in mind that maintenance isn't included on the new cheaper deals.

my existing deal is 7.2k based on 5k pa under the sole trader deal. Excess charge for 10k excess miles is £720.

The new deals are coming in at around 7.1k-7.3k based on 10k pa. So if comparing like for like, i would be 600-800 better off with the new deal.

Not been able to switch finance deals as yet but hopefully if others get success then will give me more amunition. My Cars due early November and still not had any finance docs through.

Just been told finance approved.

I have fair money coming in but don't really use credit.
I have a phone contract and a credit card that I never use so credit checks aren't too stringent.
I'm self employed too smile

From past experience, it is the vw dealers that offer these deals out to the brokers who in turn advertise the deals on a commission basis. So yes, if you find a willing dealer then they should be able to offer the best deals as no middle man.

My finance not been accepted frown

Basically its crap I think being an ex-student

However on 26k with literally no outgoings no board, no rent just a phone/gym insurance and I even get my mileage paid for work

This is so annoying!

Could I get the car in my parents name and give him the cash?

Sounds like VWFS may be offering PCH deals to placate the FCA and lease companies etc, but will do their best to make them as hard as possible for us to access them, especially from their own dealers network - it beggars belief really - or maybe it doesn't.....

Hi All

Have been watching this thread with interest since the first R deals broke cover and then all the fall out
from the iffy proposals etc. I am glad I bided my time as have just pulled the trigger on the deal with
centralukvehicleleasing and order form submitted for a base spec Red 5Dr R with DSG.
Hard to believe I am going to be driving this for only £215.99 inc VAT a month and with 10k miles PA to play with.

Bit of a long wait, which originally had put me off, but this was just too good a deal to miss, lucky I didn't
think any more about ordering the Focus ST3 for about the same money a few weeks ago!!!

Actually you probably can, I'm pretty sure you can request other drivers on the lease, or other people can drive it anyway - but obviously this is worth checking first.

It's probably frowned upon, but I'm sure it's doable.

Fair enough. I had immediately assumed it was illegal, and then saw someone that said otherwise, but it doesn't surprise me it is smile.

My key bit above though was notifying all companies you are dealing with, or is that still illegal? Fronting is generally when you intentionally do it (without notifying), but if you notify is that an issue?

Either way, good luck.
