Basically its crap I think being an ex-student

However on 26k with literally no outgoings no board, no rent just a phone/gym insurance and I even get my mileage paid for work

This is so annoying!

Could I get the car in my parents name and give him the cash?
Check your credit rating on the likes of Experian. Did you apply for the cars at any point prior? Don't forget, you're basically funding up to £9,000, if you've no history then it's a large sum to fund for the first time. Check your credit rating prior to doing anything though, you may just find there's a hiccup there somewhere that has altered your status.

This happened to me, being 21 and having only ever payed cash for things I've bought I had no credit history rather than bad history.
Ended having my dad as a guarantor type thing, I pay everything and both of us are allowed to drive the car. You should ask, just don't miss a payment or your parents will kill you!

Hi guys,

Is anyone worried that they won't see any official vwfs paperwork with these deals from the brokers until the car arrives?

At which point you may get told the deal price has changed. Net effect is you've waited 4 months for a car....but now ave to pay more...are you going to turn it down?

Does anyone know who us financing all these cheap broker details....it certainly isn't Arval, I know that.

I've spoken to vw and had a quote through vwfs.....and with 10k and about 1600 down the lowest for base spec is about 215pm... None of this 160 a month etc...and I've got screenshots out of the vwfs system!!

Would love to know that as well. I've run Arval quotes and there is quite a big difference!

Freedom Contracts. I always lease now; PCPs are expensive in comparison. My local VW Dealer hadn't even heard of the VWFS PCH option! Their finance manager asked me, yes me, to bring in the details and prove it was available!

Speaking with my Seat hat on VWFS generally don't do Personal Contract Hire. I say generally because they have just decided to offer it on the Leon Cupra and there is one other Seat they do it on but I can't recall it off the top of my head. So unless it was launched as part of the Q4 campaign from 1st October onwards and he's not been made aware of it he could be right.

Maybe just get something cheaper until you are earning a decent wage. With fuel and insurance that will be around a quarter of your net pay on a car. Nuts!

I don't pay fuel I claim it from work insurance would be £50pm and I currently have £1k disposable a month with my outgoings I could easily afford the car and still save £750pm of my wages. Pay no rent, only have £150pm bills inc insurance and basically use about £50 of fuel for private millage as get 45p a mile on by business miles which covers most of my private as well.

Will see if this guartaneer thing is an option if not may look at just getting a £7.5k loan selling my Golf and sticking in £4/5k of savings as fed up with my Mk4 now its falling apart!

I have lived at home for a whole 3 months now... move away in March as I switch location every 6 month for 2 years with my job. Previously was at Uni or a flat I rented in ocean village Southampton whilst on work placement.

I have no plans to stay at home long dont worry I have worked since 16 and whilst at uni and have a seperate house fund account I have paid into since then.

Work helps with relocation when I do move and the fact is I can easily afford the car whilst saving wages and already have a decent amount saved for when I do look to buy in around 4-5 years

@tonker No offence but this is Rediculous.

This is not a life choices counselling forum or financial advice. He didn't ask for advice about whether he can afford it. He thinks he can and that's up to him.

He is thinking of how much per month because it's a lease and you pay per month...

His income isn't why he got refused for this, it's likely his lack of credit history.

I can claim 45p per mile for business mileage at work but don't receive a car allowance I also get given a hire car when I need to travel

Does this mean I could get this deal as my contract states I get paid business milleage

Thanks
Sorry if it's already been mentioned but you can now get the personal deals at the same rates as business now (no need to be a ltd co or have car allowance)

Just ordered on a business deal 2 5dr DSG, black metallic with winter pack, rear camera and discover navigation for 280+vat on 6 + 23

Guess it depends on how quick you are to fill in the online form! I have been accepted for 9 months down and 217.99 a month inc VAT. Red, 5 door DSG.
Cant wait!
Delivery end feb.

In an ideal world i would have gone for blue, full leather and a few other toys but adding extras to a lease doesn't make financial sense.

Two questions-

Can your wife drive your lease car if you have appropriate insurance covering you both?

If you gave a lease thru vwfs with no maintenance do you have to have the car maintained by VW? Or can you use an independent?

Amazing!

So your paying :

9 x 218 = 1962
23 x 218 = 5014.00
1962 + 5014 = 6976 (less £690.00 for DSG = 6286.00)

£6286.00 base spec in red 10000mpa eek
