5 Door DSG in red with no other options
Maintenance
Tyre Cover
10,000 miles pa
PERSONAL lease (no proof of business miles etc required)

£303 inc vat a month with a £1780 deposit

The above sounds quite pricey - mine has Lapiz paint and a couple of low price options added as well as tyre cover including punctures on a 3 + 23 @ £292.57 inc so a total of £7606.82 - yours is £8749!!

Some of the deals available now (but not for much longer apparently) are nearly as cheap as mine as long as spec is kept sensible - is it too late to change?

Was about to sign up to the freedom deal but in the T&Cs I found this:

"I/We fully understand that the terms and conditions set out below are subject to revision due to either, (a)"Freedom Vehicle Contracts Ltd" being unable to obtain the above vehicle at the figure upon which their quotation has been based, or (b) there being an increase in funding and/or manufacturing price increase/charges which are beyond "Freedom Vehicle Contracts Ltd" control. In this instance I/We shall have the option to cancel and any monies paid will be refunded (This excludes any processing fees and holding fees which are non refundable.)"

I have gone back to them as when I discussed this with them last week I was told that if they had to change price or cancel the order, any payments I would have made would be refunded and I wouldn't be liable for anything else. However as per above this seems to indicate the £200 admin fee wont be refundable and call me pessimistic but what's stopping them taking loads of orders at this price and hiking them up closer to March in knowledge they keep £200 if someone doesn't proceed....

Have questioned them on this but no response, I'll keep an open mind and see what they say on this but it is a bit of a deal breaker for me.

For others who have ordered, is this the case with all the other suppliers? CVL, NVS etc?

Thanks
Exactly what I said in a nutshell 4pages back. This brokers are toeing you all along. They are financed by VWFS from what I can tell. Therefore the prices dealer can get you us the same as a broker can get. The computer says what's possible on the options you ask for and works it out on GFV at the point you quote.

You will see no VWFS paperwork until just before car comes whereby they hike up the price based on the conditions you mention. By that stage you've waited 4months for a car and will probably be desperate for it and not want to loose your admin charge.

Go to VW and ask for a PCH! That's the best and believe or not most honest way to get a true price!

I guess the reason it's a little pricey is because it's in stock.

1% price increase on the 1st November.
Dynaudio becomes an option on the R.

Yup, so if you want dynaudio, you have to wait for the 1% increase on the car before you can order it. It becomes an expensive option for anyone who had the opportunity to order a car before nov 1st

VW not allowing any pre week 45 orders to add the £535 Dynaudio option - if you want it you will have to re-order, pay 1% extra for the base car and go to the back of the queue which is end of March/start of April!

You really have to want it to do that!

So mine is £566 more - for that I get DSG, a couple of options (RRP £275) and 40% more mileage. wink

Dont want DSG David....and I may not do 8-10k miles.

If you divide 566 by my additional mileage cost I could do the same mileage as you but this deal gives me flexibility in my monthly payment and how much additional cash I might need to save if going over mileage allowance.

I can also refinance at end of year 1 if I feel I'm doing more mileage.

Fair enough - just comparing on a like for like basis.

I too can refinance after year 1 - might have to as I have done 3 months mileage in 4.5 weeks!

Am I reading this right?

£2.4k initial payment, £180 PCM on personal lease, 10,000 miles per annum?

Looks a very good deal to me?
