Who have you gone with if you don't mind me asking? I'm off to my local VW dealer this afternoon to see what they will offer.Poverty spec red, 5 door, DSG @ 6+23 - £229+VAT

Has anybody ordered extras like the Dynamic Chassis or Leather?
Do you have to have order a Sat Nat? Sat Nav App's and 3rd party ones I generally find better and are £50 as opposed to £750...
Just spec'd a car on the VW Configuration site and it came to £34,770 with 19's, Limestone Grey, DDC and Winter Pack. Not sure about Maintenance as I only cover around 8k miles per annum. Are service intervals 20k?

There are flexible and fixed service options.
Fixed I believe is an oil change at 1 year or 10,000 miles and inspection service at 20,000 miles or 2 years.
The flexible is determined by the car depending on driving.
I am also interested to know about DCC as apart from solid white paint it is the only option I am likely to consider. Bearing in mind I would go for 18" wheels, is it worth it in terms of additional comfort in comfort setting?

The VW order tracker will be your best and worst friend in the world for the next 6 months.3 door manual in the grey colour which was a £20 extra a month

Heres a tip - if you have an iPhone, go into settings > keyboard > shortcuts and add the word 'golfr' and your order number so you don't have to remember it, you just type golfr and it replaces it with the order number.
Thats how many times i was doing it per day lol.
It should start within a week or so but it will seem to be 'stuck' at stage two for ages.
Be patient, it'll all be worth it soon enough

Pixel's right though, stage two takes forever and then things really start to quicken up. My car's being delivered on Thursday, about 3 weeks faster than what the dealer and I assumed.

Hi all, well after reading through this forum about the discussions on the very lovely Golf R I have decided to treat myself and have just ordered an R from swindon VW. The customer service there was second to none and they have managed to get me in a poverty spec 3 door R in white on a 3+23 £287 a month inc vat, which I'm very happy with. I've also been fortunate enough to get mine built and ready for collection in February, I cannot recommend swindon VW enough! Especially Dale May the fleet exec there. In my opinion the dealership is very competitive and also doesn't charge admin or doc fees etc. what a beast of a car to drive! Gonna spend a lot of time at the petrol pumps I think!?!

Haha no I'm not, just wanted to spread the good word! After visiting a seat dealership today and being put off by their lack of willing to help or even entertain leasing a car at a decent price I though I'd let everyone know how good VW dealerships can be and also that they can get their hands on cars a bit earlier than other waiting times I've seen.Gassing Station | Audi, Seat, Skoda & VW | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
