Yep, 6 mts up front. 6p per miles excess over the 20k which we thought was v reasonable too

I placed an order with VW fleet. PCH. ..expected delivery March April 2015. I now have a tracking number ...The dealer also has requested a £500 deposit to be paid now. I have not been given any terms and conditions re the hire. Has anyone else been asked for a deposit or been mailed terms and conditions upon ordering.

i ordered through a VW dealer and got VWFS PCH deal in July. Car delivered 2 weeks ago, nothing paid until 2 weeks after the car is delivered.

Paperwork only gets drawn up once the car is on the boat, they have the VIN and they have accepted your proof of ID.

I was told that if you are ordering extras on the car - 19" alloys, leather, winter pack etc - that a deposit is usually expected so that if you pull out of the deal just before the car arrives the deposit will cover (some of) the cost of the extras.

Yep, I was asked for a £500 deposit as well for a 5 door , dsg. Have been sent a screen shot of my order with tracking number and paid by credit card so quite happy...mine is also due April/May.

I havent looked into Gap insurance and so dont really know why its worth having but I do know that ala are recommended but the car needs to have been delivered within the last 180 days to qualify.

Read the small print. List price sometimes only paid if you are the registered keeper. You won't be registered keeper on a lease.

For £100 quid I'd recommend GAP from day one, one of our Audi's was written off at only a few months old and the GAP were brilliant.

I've just run a quick quote and the difference between a 1 year policy and a 2 year policy is £20 - for me it was £99 against £119. For £20, I'd probably take the 2 year policy just for the extra security.

Have our order numbers, but been told that it could take up to two weeks for anything to show on the 'Track My Order' section of the VW.co.uk site.

Not overly fussed, the deal is done and that's the main thing. There's 6-7 months to stare blankly at the track my order page, haha!!
