Yes I heard all about the good deals last year. Sadly this is the best around at the moment (that I can see).

What triggers the really good deals? I assume it is something which the manufacturer promotes and can happen at random?

Hello, just found this deal, any thoughts?

Golf R 5dr DSG
8k miles
24 months
£289 per month inc vat
£2601 deposit inc vat
£360 admin fee

Total over 2 years £9608 (£400 per month).

I'm no expert but assuming the car depreciates by around 30% in 2 years and the car is £30k brand new, then that's a depreciation of £9k.

To me this sounds like a reasonable deal, any thoughts? Waiting list is ~7 months.

Thanks
Could I ask who the company offering this is please?

Comparison - mine was ordered July 2014 and delivered Oct 2014

Gold R 5dr DSG
personal lease
RED - solid colour so no charge
completely standard car
10k miles
maintenance
tyre cover
24 months
£303 per month inc vat
£1800 deposit inc vat
£0 admin fee

£8769 = £365 pm

This was direct with VW

I still didn't get the 'best' deals which were march/april time - but more than happy with what i have.

To all looking for best deals, contact a VW dealer direct, you might be surprised at how competitive they are and you don't pay any admin charges either smile

I'm Hi anyone cancelled an ordered r on a business lease? , any charges for cancelling?, it's direct from a dealer, and was 3 weeks ago , cheers
A good friend walked away form his deal the other day as his dealer was being a clown. No penalty and the dealer wasted no time on posting it on their Facebook for immediate delivery at the full whack.

Think it depends on the dealer..mine want to keep my £500 deposit if I cancel (to cover their costs they say!).

My original dealer wanted to keep my £500 but as soon as I reminded them of their terms and conditions the deposit was returned.

The deal is with appliedleasing.co.uk

I will be visiting a VW dealer this weekend to test drive and see if they can beat this deal. Will be placing my order if not.

All those costs add up to a total monthly payment of £380 per month For a manual. Appliedleasing.co.uk equivalent is £385per month. This is certainly a better deal by £160 over the rental term.

Further to the above, 16-20 weeks may be some what unrealistic as I have been quoted 7 months. Not sure if leasing companies have any leeway with regards to negotiating lead times with the dealer/manufacturer. Any thoughts on this?

I'd take the lead time with a pinch of salt, I was quoted 16 weeks last June and it ended up over 20 weeks. I think lead times have increased to 6/7 months now.

Well VWCS provided me with a new BW today. No longer BW6 and surprise surprise its now scheduled for BW14 (w/c April 30th)! So will be May or June at the earliest. So likely 8 months wait. Later than was originally told and much later than VMCS' update over a couple of weeks ago. Trying to resist cancelling my order.
Is BW14 not w/c March 30th?

Ah - I hope so :-) It was the dealer that provided the BW and date. He doesnt like me asking questions. I have emailed him twice since October which I guess is a pain for him ;-)

Is it now live on the online portal as BW14 or is it still at stage 2? I only ask as my dealer has told me that I'm BW11 but online it is at stage 2. Just worried that I may get a delay too... I ordered mine mid October...

Mines still at stage 2 hence why I am still cynical regarding what I'm being told by both vwcs and by the dealer.

I'm still super cynical... I've been told that it only starts moving on the tracker when you're about 4 weeks from actual build...

Ordered mine last week.
3door DSG
8k miles
6+23
Lapiz blue
Pretoria alloys
Winter pack
Rear view camera
maintainenece paid for.

£427 a month, no way near some of the deals that where on offer but I'm happy, just the long wait now.

My current cars a audi s5 v8 so hoping I don't miss the v8 grumble to much, certainly won't miss the maintenance cost on her!

Quick question don't chew my head off anyone got experience with the DTUK tuning box and pedal box for these cars, done abit of research into them and they seem the best no warrenty void box out?
