Ordered mine last week.
3door DSG
8k miles
6+23
Lapiz blue
Pretoria alloys
Winter pack
Rear view camera
maintainenece paid for.

£427 a month, no way near some of the deals that where on offer but I'm happy, just the long wait now.

My current cars a audi s5 v8 so hoping I don't miss the v8 grumble to much, certainly won't miss the maintenance cost on her!

Quick question don't chew my head off anyone got experience with the DTUK tuning box and pedal box for these cars, done abit of research into them and they seem the best no warrenty void box out?

Ordered through bluechilli cars and they've told me 6months. I think the orders have slowed down on the R now the prices aren't so ridiculously cheap so hopefully the factory starts turning them out quicker.

Can't wait to get my golf r manual.

I ordered it back in September I think and have been quite successful at completely forgetting it.
Driving a 120d convertible at the moment and not driven anything fast for a while (last was c32 Amg)

Can't wait as mine comes in 5 weeks. I knew it was a good deal at the time but seeing these new deals it was stinking value.

2400 upfront and 200 a month for a 5dr metallic(met costs extra) and no doc fee.

It has been nearly a year since I got my Volkswagen Golf R, here you can see a long term owners view of the Golf R and what a real one looks like opposed to all these pristine versions smile Or in other words, I didn't wash mine smile

Cheers for that. Just to be clear, how many miles until the service light came on and how many miles do you think you'll be getting out of the tyres? I'm taking a 2 year lease and only do 6,000 miles a year and just wondering if I'll get away with a single service and not having to change the tyres, which would be bonus.

It will be 13,500 miles for the oil change light. And I think it will be about 18-20k miles for the tyres. You should be fine on 6,000 miles per annum. Just make certain your car is setup for variable servicing otherwise it will force you within 12 months for a service.

Cheers. Might be a stupid question, but how do you do that?

I'm still super cynical... I've been told that it only starts moving on the tracker when you're about 4 weeks from actual build...
Mine was stuck on Stage 2 for ages (Oct-Jan), it finally went to Stage 3 a week or so ago, I'm BW6, so you'll get your Stage 3 notification about 4 weeks before your scheduled build week from my experience

Just about to tip 10k miles in ours - not put a foot wrong so far. Putting money aside every month to cover the excess mileage charge tho!

Still not keen on the handling or suspension, but might just the the type of roads I drive.

Hated it in the snow but I'm comparing to an old Corrado with a heavy VR in front of the axles and skinny tyres I suppose.

Once you've got your order confirmation you should get the dealer details. Just ask them or ask through the lease provide to make certain they set it up during Pre Delivery Inspection on a variable service interval. Enjoy it smile

No problem smile Mine was nice and clean and spotless, but you know what there is no point and it drives the same. It is a wonderful car and worth any wait.

The last lot of cheap deals were 10k miles per annum too, but still a lot of car for the money.

I'd have had mine by now on the original deal if they hadn't fked us over and then I'd made other plans!
