Other half has an iPhone 6 i have the 5s
Both stream spotify faultlessly with the ability to pause, track forward/backwards via the headunit/steering wheel controls
If you use the USB connector though its a completely different story - you will only be able to access music that is physically stored on the phone in iTunes. (so not even spotify premium with offline playlists)
My recommendation is - Large capacity SD card in the media slot in glovebox. forget about it and enjoy
Failing that, maybe a cheap iPod that you can hide away in the cubby hole where the lead is.
So I can Bluetooth it easily? Great, good enough for me!Both stream spotify faultlessly with the ability to pause, track forward/backwards via the headunit/steering wheel controls

Pissed off - my car has arrived in the UK and I've been sent the VWFS contract and the numbers don't stack up.
The broker is asking me to send a cheque for £2,000 followed by 23 monthly payments of £222, which is what was agreed in October 2014. However, the VWFS contract states a deposit of £2500 followed by 23 monthly payments of £222. The broker states the difference is the subsidy direct from the supplying VW dealer, some £500. There is no mention of the subsidy in the contract and the broker states the documentation can’t be altered and I should take their word for it that I only have to pay £2,000, despite having to sign a legally binding contract making myself responsible for £2,500.
As you can imagine I’m refusing to sign the documents and they are also refusing to amend the contract. They are going to try to get me some written assurances from the VW dealer, however, this would not come from VWFS. I find this really shoddy business practice, as should the VW dealer suddenly decide to pull their subsidy I’ll be £500 down.
Anyone else come across the same?

Yeah mine is the same, have email from dealer saying they will pay it. I am dealing with VW direct.
Have you got your car yet or are you at the same point as me? I just find it really bad business practice, I wouldn't dream of asking a client of mine to sign a contract for a higher amount on the assumption that a third party pay the remainder without the third party forming part of the contract.

Why get stressed? Theres 100s of us managing to do this without a major breadown. Mines the same. I read it properly and sent everything off with a cheque.
. . . and 1,000's of people send cheques to the former chief accountant of the Nigerian Mining Corporation to enable them to release the £millions they're needing to move overseas - it doesn't make such a transaction financially astute Interesting that you've all had the same, this is the first I'd heard of the dealer contribution, so it came as a bit of a surprise.
Mines the same. I'm with central vehicle leasing.
I'm paying 2898 instead of 2400 but they said I will get the money (498) back from dealer within 2-3 days of taking the car and first £2898 won't come until a week or two after taking the car.
It's the dealer contribution.
All seems shady but each part is separate companies.

Missed this one last night - now that doesnt make sense.I'm paying 2898 instead of 2400 but they said I will get the money (498) back from dealer within 2-3 days of taking the car and first £2898 won't come until a week or two after taking the car.

They will take an upfront payment of 2898 then give you back the 498 thats ok ....the next payment should then be 1 month after you taking the car and of £2xx.00 ish yeah?

New query on the documents received - I've been offered "Tyre Replacement" at £5.40pcm. That seems incredibly cheap to me, essentially £129 over 2 years to cover the 4 tyres. It only covers wear and tear and not punctures. I'm guessing I'll need a new set of tyres at some point over 20,000 miles in a car with 300bhp. Am I missing something or is it a no brainer?
